Widgets on Home Screen:
Widgets were redesigned to be more beautiful and data rich than ever which comes in different sizes.For the first time, Apple adds widgets to the home screen. They have designed separate widgets for all the applications like Weather, Batteries, Podcasts, Screen Time, Fitness, Shortcuts, Calendar, Clock,News etc...
If you wish to save space on home screen, you can even that as well with the help of Widget Stacks. You can create upto 10 widgets and can create stacks just by dragging one widgets on top of another.
App Library:
Through the new App Library can organize all your applications. Apps are automatically organized in the App Library in to one simple easy-to-navigate view. All the applications are sorted according to the category such as Entertainment, News, Social Media etc. According to your usage, the layout will be changes.
To quickly find the application, you can navigate to the search bar on the top and can find out easily for what your are looking for. The another feature in App library was that, it gives suggestion to the user for app's based on your usage of applications.
Compact Calls:
Normally till iOS 13 when you get any call, it will be shown over the full screen on your mobile phone. But in iOS 14, it was redesigned to the smarter version, when you get a call it will appears like a banner. This feature makes you not lose track of what your are doing. You have 2 options in this feature.
First, you can swipe up on the banner to disconnect the call or Second,simple swipe down to view the call in normal mode. An Developer API is also available, so that third-party calls can also support for the compact calls.
Along with this, new version of Siri were also support in compact mode. Siri has an all-new compact design that allows you to refer to information onscreen and seamlessly launch into your next task. As soon as your request Siri, it pops up at the bottom of the screen. When Siri has a result, it appears at the top of the screen like a notification.
Picture in Picture:
Picture in Picture feature gives you an option to continue with your work with out any interruptions and can access to other applications as well. While you continue watching a video, you are able to access to the messages application to find new messages.
The another option in Picture in Picture, you can resize the window to make it zoom it or zoom out according to the your usage. Even you can drag and can set the Picture in Picture application any one of your corner.
Pinned Conversations Over Messages:
Like never before, as similar to the social media applications like WhatsApp & Instagram, Messages Application was enhanced with the similar features. With this new update Inline Replies, you are able to reply directly to a specific message in a group conversation.
When it comes to the other feature, you are able to Pin your favorite conversations to the top of your conversation list. So you can always get them easily anytime. If you pin group conversation, you can see the circle around the recent participants when they send a message. Like this, you can pin upto 9 conversations.
While doing this you can able to set a group picture for your conversations so that you can identify them easily or categorize them by adding photo or Memoji or Emoji. Enhanced Memoji with 20 new Hairstyles were updated. Nearly 18 new head wear styles added to the existing cyclist helmet and swip cap. New Age options upto 6 which lets your customize and can use.
